CELEBRATING 90 YEARS: JUNIOR LEAGUE OF AKRON DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE 2016

Thank you to all of our partners and sponsors who made this event successful!

For 90 years the Junior League of Akron has been a leading catalyst for change and meeting the unmet needs of our neighbors. Now, more than ever, the greater Akron community relies on the Junior League of Akron’s committed, trained volunteers to make a difference in the lives of families. Designer ShowHouse 2016 (ShowHouse) is the primary fundraising event for the League and will support further development of our Kids in the Kitchen programs. The financial success of Designer ShowHouse 2016 will enable the JLA to make a positive impact in our community through outreach efforts such as Kids in the Kitchen, Touch-‐‑A-‐‑Truck, and other community outreach projects. It will also help us provide the necessary training for our members to facilitate outreach efforts.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Designer ShowHouse 2016 provides an opportunity for the Junior League of Akron to make a two-fold contribution to the community by showcasing innovative design and by raising funds to support projects that improve the lives of residents in our community.

Since 1978, The Junior League of Akron, Ohio has always sought beautiful and intriguing homes for its signature fundraiser, Designer ShowHouse. During this event, the area’s foremost interior and landscape designers demonstrate their talents and unique ideas through the complete redecoration of the selected home. These designers are willing to provide, without charge, the time, labor, skill, and materials necessary to create their individual areas. Guests experience firsthand the extraordinary results of all this hard work and are given the opportunity to meet in-person the talented members of the local design community who participated in the event. The funds raised by each Designer ShowHouse event will allow the Junior League of Akron to continue its 90-year legacy of supporting valuable community projects.
